Aromatherapy involves using essential oils extracted from plants, trees, herbs, fruits and flowers.
Every essential oil has different benefits that range from improving sleep, easing muscle pain, improving mental fatigue and stress relief.
Aromatherapy can be used in many different ways but at Willow Tree, aromatherapy is used with massage.
The aromatherapy massage is a slower, lighter treatment that can be done for one specific area of the body or full body.
A consultation will be carried out to find out which oils would suit your needs, and if their is oil left over, this will be bottled up to take home with you.
Another way aromatherapy is used during your treatment is through inhalation. A special blend will be burning in a diffuser when you arrive, helping you to relax as soon as you arrive.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is an effective, relaxing treatment that gets to the deeper layers of muscle. This helps to rehabilitate injured/tense/sore muscle.
Medium to firm pressure is used for this treatment but can be adapted to how the client would prefer, if it is safe to do so.
This treatment is relaxing, and really helps to reduce unwanted knots and tension in the body.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an amazing treatment done on the feet using techniques such as thumb and finger walking.
The feet have different body systems which correspond to the body. Reflexology helps to unblock any congested areas in the feet that are brought on my stress, health conditions or previous/current illnesses.Â
The feet say a lot about the body and is a big eye opener to what is going on inside.Â
Reflexology helps to restore homeostasis in the body and mind.

Indian head massage is a grounding treatment that focuses on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp, and face. Techniques are used to reduce tension in the upper body which may be causing aches and tension in the body.
Lymphatic drainage techniques are used during the face massage which helps with congestion and sinus issues.

Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascia release therapy is a treatment that will either be carried out on its own or with deep tissue massage.
The treatment uses no oil, making for an effective treatment.
The treatment stretches out the fascia below (the connective tissue) which can get inflamed which results in pain and imbalanced posture.

The holistic facial uses beautiful aromatherapy products to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise the skin.
The facial includes lymphatic drainage and acupressure points- this isn't just about nourishing the skin, its to treat the mind and body to help balance the nervous system.
This treatment also includes a neck, head and shoulder massage using an aromatherapy blend.

This treatment involves putting the hands on the chakra points down the body, and using the reiki energy to centre and realign

This treatment includes an aromatherapy massage and facial using acupressure. This is to specifically reduce the symptoms brought on by menopause.
A consultation will be carried out to understand your symptoms and acupressure plasters and pressure will be applied to the specific acupressure points that help to relieve these symptoms.Â
